Swedish native Joel Andersson was given his first harmonica at the age of 2 and began playing professionally when he was 13. He soon grew increasingly interested in the technical aspects of harmonica construction and was certified as a member of the elite group of Hohner Affiliated Customizers (HAC) in 2017. Today he builds some of the finest custom harmonicas in the world.
Joel is also regarded as one of the world’s finest harmonica players in the field of Irish music. He has won prestigious titles in many music competitions, including 3rd place at the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil 2014 and an astonishing 2nd place at the World Harmonica Festival 2017. He has toured and given harmonica workshops in many countries from the cold and dark north of Finland, Germany, Scandinavia to Greece, the Canary Islands, England and Ireland.
In 2018 he released his debut Solo album “The Irish Harmonica”, which won critical acclaim and has been featured by radio stations from Los Angeles, USA to Galway in Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands.
